Common knowledge of daily maintenance of public broadcasting products

Scientifically maintaining broadcasting equipment is the key to extending its lifespan.
Here are some basic knowledge of daily maintenance:
1. The normal operating temperature for broadcasting equipment should generally be between 18 ℃ and 45 ℃. Too low a temperature can reduce the sensitivity of certain machines; If it is too high, it is easy to burn out the components or cause them to age prematurely. Special attention should be paid to cooling and maintaining air circulation in summer.
2. Broadcasting equipment should avoid direct sunlight and should also be kept away from heat sources such as heaters.
3. After using up the broadcasting equipment, all function keys should be reset. If the function key is not reset for a long time, its pulling button spring will be under force for a long time, which can easily cause functional disorders.
4. Before turning on or off the power supply of the device, turn the volume potentiometer of the amplifier to a smaller value, which is a more effective protection measure for the amplifier and speaker. At this point, the power amplification of the amplifier is almost zero, and at least it will not cause harm to the speaker in case of misoperation.
5. When starting up, switch from front to back, that is, first turn on the CD player, then turn on the front and rear stages. When starting up, turn the volume potentiometer of the amplifier to a smaller value. When shutting down, first turn off the power amplifier to completely disable its amplification function. At this point, when you turn off the front-end device, no matter how much surge current is generated, it will not affect the power amplifier and speakers. When closing the panel, turn the volume potentiometer of the amplifier to a smaller value so that it can connect with the CD player before turning it off or off.
6. Machines need to be frequently used. Commonly used components can actually extend the lifespan of machines, such as some parts with motors (recording stands, CD players, laser disc players, etc.). If it does not rotate for a long time, some parts will still deform.
7. Regularly power on. In the case of long-term non use, especially in humid and high-temperature seasons, it is better to keep the electricity on for half an hour every day. This can use the heat generated by the internal components during operation to drive away moisture and prevent the internal coils, speaker voice coils, transformers, etc. from getting damp and moldy.
8. Wipe the surface of the machine with a clean and damp soft cotton cloth at regular intervals; When not in use, cover the machine with a dust cover or cloth to prevent dust from entering.
9. From the principle of electronics, any electronic device should not be connected or disconnected from other devices when it is in a live working state. I think friends can understand this without too much explanation. Live plug and unplug active devices are very dangerous, and even passive devices such as microphones are not recommended for live plug and unplug. It should be reminded not to connect the speaker cable with the amplifier on, because the connection terminals of the speaker are usually very close, and the speaker cables are tightly parallel. When wiring, the speaker cables are often accidentally short circuited, which can quickly burn out the amplifier. Although some amplifiers have protective circuits, some HI-FI grade pure amplifiers often omit these protective measures in order to improve sound quality and reduce unnecessary distortion. Therefore, the phrase 'shut down and reconnect' has long become a rule that audiophiles must follow.
10. Some audiophiles who are more particular may not turn up the volume or play some loud music when the amplifier is hot. The reason is that when the amplifier components are just turned on, they are in a cold state, and allowing them to work with high current will shorten their lifespan. Therefore, some audiophiles only play some soft music and listen to music at medium volume within half an hour of starting up, and then turn on the high volume to enjoy it after the machine warms up.
